What ever happened to Paul Schene?
Do you know that name? Paul Schene?
It’s not really a name worth remembering, as the person who is identified by that name is not worth the oxygen that he removes from the atmosphere during respiration.
Paul Schene is the criminal scumbag who beat the shit out of a 15-year old girl and dragged her around by her hair in Seattle (warning: shocking video). He also happens to be a police officer, suckling on the public teet to feed himself between abusive episodes. Oh, and he’s possibly also a murderer, as I discovered (and put the Huffington Post onto) a year ago today.
As far as I know, he hasn’t yet departed the mortal coil and departed for hell yet, so I’m wondering: does anybody know where he is now?
I just emailed Sgt. Sean Whitcomb, the media relations director for the Seattle PD:
Hello there – I’m a journalist from New York. I’m just wondering – what ever happened to Paul Schene? Is he still on administrative leave? If so, is it paid or unpaid? Has the case against him progressed at all?

I work for the Seattle Police Department. Paul Schene formerly worked for the King County Sheriff’s Office. I believe he was fired, charged, acquitted by “hung jury” and awaiting retrial. Call either KCSO or check the Seattle Times for the latest updates.

Sgt. Jim Laing of the King’s County Sheriff’s Office says:
Paul Schene was terminated for cause by the Sheriff on September 9, 2009 after an internal investigation. He was charged with assault and tried in January, 2010. This resulted in a mistrial. He is to be tried again on June 1, 2010.

He did not beat the shit out of the 15 year old criminal…he re-arrested her after she assaulted him using all standard police techniques. There was no injury to the girl. Don’t you think there would have been if he “beat the shit out of her” don’t you think there would have been an injury of some sort? The hair grab, the kick, the punches (distraction punches) were all standard pain compliance and controlling techniques taught in the police academy. There was a trial that ended in a hung jury.

The fact that you had to use the phrases “15-year old criminal” and “assaulted” to describe a child who flipped a shoe inches off the end of her foot is humiliation enough for you – I won’t subject you to anything further. I will say that it occurs to me that if this were a non-LEO committing this crime, you’d have something different to say.
Fortunately for all of us, it seems that he has been fired and somewhat ostracized. He’ll be tried again and hopefully convicted, albeit on a ridiculously slap-on-the-wrist charge.
Even so, maybe it will cause him to wake up and realize that there is no room in this world for his bullshit and that he needs to turn things around in order to be a worthwhile human being.

Justin, you should also check in to what happened to Malika Calhoun after this as well. I will go ahead and tell you, and you can look it up and verify it… She was arrested, yet again, charged AND convicted of Felony Harassment, for threatening to shoot another 15 year old girl at a King County mall. The girl IS a criminal, and deserves to get treated like one. Of course no major outlets are really following the story of her actually being a violent criminal, as where are the ratings boosts in that, right?

The George guy is obviously the Perpetrator himself, or another LEO who is trying to justify the unjustifiable. The person calling himself George makes a factual error when he says that the girl is a criminal, as she was merely being held on suspicion of committing a crime, but not convicted of it.
People are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but of course the gutless, and nutless maniacal child beater is grasping at any straws he can to persuade people that it was he who was the victim of the big bad little girl, and he had no choice in the matter but to defend himself in the proper police manner.

Police are supposed to be better than that. In our society, everyone gets due process. I am just glad that this country is starting to see the light when it comes to bottom-feeding officers who hide behind the trust that we as Americans are preconditioned to give law enforcement and abuse their authority to help feed their super-hero ego. Dont get me wrong, I believe that there is a lot of good officers out there that will do their job with honor. I just hate the fact that all some low life has to do is go to a community college for a couple months and attend an academy and like magic, he is a hero and he can do anything he wants and a large percentage of the population will defend his actions. I’ve been in juvenile hall before and once you’re in a cell all they have to do is close the door. He seriously just had to close the door and be done with that girl. Her shoes were off, that’s that. Excessive force is just one symptom of an escolating problem in Seattle.
My wife was told, (by her public pretender), to plead guilty to malicious mischieve because she picked up a crow bar and beat a mail box as a show of force. Why the show of force? Someone was trying to rape her. My wife and I have been together for 11 years, and she is as melodramatic as anyone I know.

The problem we are having with youth is they feel disrespected, like in the Malica case. Both parents work to make ends meat. So, the feal a bit neglected.
When out and about, they are often stopped to see what they are up to. So, these youths feel harrassed. These youths tend to fight back. But, since they are not seen as adults or respected as adults they fight back with braun, not brains.
One problem with police is they no longer do “meet and greet”. Instead, they are too busy writing tickets to fill their coughers. A “meet and greet” is when cops go through the neighborhood and meet with people, just to show they care. This gives the community a sense of loyalty, and the cops a sense that not all people are bad. Since officers see every person as a scum bag what happes to their Psychy? Yes, their fight or flight senses are way up there.
To you Police in Seattle:
Stop disrespecting people and start getting to know people in your neighborhood. Take a vacation if you feel a bit overwhelmed when dealing with real scum bags and quit targeting youths. I don’t like the constant racial profiling in Seattle. That’s seen as nothing less than racism by your community and shows disrespect for certain races.
In other words, QUIT DISTANCING YOURSELVES.

I can’t get over George’s comment, I like how its posted at the top. Well George I think you missed a couple things in that video! Besides the blatantly obvious miss treatment. Paul actually walked back into the cell to check for blood from his “Distraction punches”. Not to sanitize as he did not carry the standard sanitary spray all jails have plenty of. Also just in case you weren’t paying attention. After she was cuffed and struck 2 more times in the head, he decided to let go of her hands and shoulders and completely pick her body up with her hair.

According to what I’ve read from the Washington Post, the first trial ended with a 11-1 hung jury because this 1 juror couldn’t convict and didn’t want the public to mistrust the cops… OMFG. Looking at all the comments here, I now understand why a guy like George would make this Piece of Shit Schene walks free. Like most of us here, I’m always busy working to meet ends therefore I always found ways to fight off my jury duty; after watching this video I promised to myself I’ll fight for the next available spot in the jury if I ever get call on again. I encourage all responsible citizens out there to do the same. This could have happened to your brother, sister, wife, parents or people you know.

I challenge you to go to my country, the Philippines, and have an MMA match with me. I can break your shin and/or kneecaps in the match and teach you how to subdue someone with minimal force. Your sloppiness and poor form suggest that you need more martial training and COMMON SENSE. =)
You see, a police officer YOUR SIZE, should have the BRAINS to use the least amount of force to subdue a suspect – especially if the suspect is a fifteen year old girl HALF your SIZE.

I’ve known Paul Schene since 1996, he’s been a servant to the common good of what this country is about, not what you liberals & your “sue first, ask questions later” ilk. He was moved enough to stay in the nanny-state cesspool of Washington instead of returning to his hometown Phoenix(less liberals, more illegals) after serving in arguably the hardest military unit(Pat Tillman died doing the same thing, in the same unit), probably because he thought he could help & look what it got him. All you “righteous accusers” just think of this…That “innocent accuser of rape” in the Duke Lacrosse case was charge with Murder today for fatally stabbing her boyfriend, yet she was the abused one only a few years ago … How out of line was this situation really?

You’re dreaming, as is anyone else who is defending this guy. His reaction to her action was extremely excessive. It doesn’t take that much violence to control a 15 year old girl. He has issues, and should not be a police officer. You are letting your personal feelings cloud your judgement. He needs to find a line of work without authority, so he cannot abuse it.

Let me see if I have the official story straight:
1) The girl’s shoe kick caused the officer pain and injury.
2) Her actions were a felony.
3) The officer caused the girl no harm whatsoever.
4) The officer was completely within police guidlelines.
5) His actions were a misdemeanor.
I’m surprised the people of King County didn’t hunt down this guy down and kill him.

1. If a 15 year old girl flipped her shoe at you, would you do what he did?
2. Even if you wouldn’t, can you honestly say that “the punishment fit the crime?”
3. I just asked my fifteen year old daughter to flip her shoe at me AS HARD AS SHE COULD, and you know? It kind of tickled a little.
4. This worthless piece of crap used this girl’s attitude as an excuse to release some serious RAGE that he needs some serious HELP with.

1. it was wrong and even paul knew he was doing something wrong. other wise he wouldnt be saying “im scared of a fifteen year old girl”. what do you think he was saying that because he loves to be humiliated?
2. also if hes scarred of a fifteen year old girl then why is he working at the jail? he would of pissed on himself and quit on his first day because there’s way worse people in the jail.
3. if he did everything by procedure then why did he lie saying the shoe the girl flicked caused the injury to his leg? why didnt he just say i bumped into the toilet the truth? paul was grabbing anything he could to make what he did justifiable.
4. since when did procedure involve hitting a handcuffed person in the back of their head several times? or picking them up by their hair? i guess i missed that page huh?
5. if you have a teen child would you want someone to do that to your kid or anyone in your family? even if they committed a crime?
6. and finally if parents can go to jail for just slapping you then how is beating her ok?

Yeah, this guy is an ass and I’m glad he got fired. The girl got a $125,000 settlement out of the deal. Would you let some guy hit you a few times and pick you up by your hair for 125k? Just curious. Pretty sure that settlement put a band-aid on any residual trauma she might be suffering.

When you become a cop it assumed you will be dealing (frequently) with people not at their best behavior. Becoming a cop does not make you a God. People will not fall before you at your command. You will recieve little respect and/or cooperation from many people you deal with. The peoples’ behavior is not at question…..YOURS IS! This officer Schene was NOT physically harmed. This 15yr old girl would not give in to his overbearing unnecessary illegal controlling demands.
He reacted not from pain or fear. He reacted out of vengence violence and hate. He does not belong wearing a uniform, carrying weapons, andforcing people to comply to his every command. He is a loose cannon and is dangerous.

Paul schene shot me 3 times in the back in white center on july 6th 2002…he said I exited my vehicle and approched him agressivly…that did not happen like that at all and I lost the case and had to do the time…you can see the article on my facebook page from the seattle times or P.i. I will never forget that pig…

I’m glad this guy isn’t working as a police officer any more. However, you gotta know 2 stone facts about Malika Calhoun. 1. She IS black (that’s for Mr. Ebony above) and 2. She’s a violent criminal who is constantly causing trouble, getting arrested, getting barred from places etc. That is all.
