What ever happened to Paul Schene?
Do you know that name? Paul Schene?
It’s not really a name worth remembering, as the person who is identified by that name is not worth the oxygen that he removes from the atmosphere during respiration.
Paul Schene is the criminal scumbag who beat the shit out of a 15-year old girl and dragged her around by her hair in Seattle (warning: shocking video). He also happens to be a police officer, suckling on the public teet to feed himself between abusive episodes. Oh, and he’s possibly also a murderer, as I discovered (and put the Huffington Post onto) a year ago today.
As far as I know, he hasn’t yet departed the mortal coil and departed for hell yet, so I’m wondering: does anybody know where he is now?
I just emailed Sgt. Sean Whitcomb, the media relations director for the Seattle PD:
Hello there – I’m a journalist from New York. I’m just wondering – what ever happened to Paul Schene? Is he still on administrative leave? If so, is it paid or unpaid? Has the case against him progressed at all?
I’ll let you know if he responds. Sgt. Whitcomb had this to say:
Hey Justin,
I work for the Seattle Police Department. Paul Schene formerly worked for the King County Sheriff’s Office. I believe he was fired, charged, acquitted by “hung jury” and awaiting retrial. Call either KCSO or check the Seattle Times for the latest updates.

…..so, I’ve emailed the only email address I can find for the KCSO (sheriff@kingcounty.gov) and asked the same question.

Sgt. Jim Laing of the King’s County Sheriff’s Office says:
Paul Schene was terminated for cause by the Sheriff on September 9, 2009 after an internal investigation. He was charged with assault and tried in January, 2010. This resulted in a mistrial. He is to be tried again on June 1, 2010.

He did not beat the shit out of the 15 year old criminal…he re-arrested her after she assaulted him using all standard police techniques. There was no injury to the girl. Don’t you think there would have been if he “beat the shit out of her” don’t you think there would have been an injury of some sort? The hair grab, the kick, the punches (distraction punches) were all standard pain compliance and controlling techniques taught in the police academy. There was a trial that ended in a hung jury.

The fact that you had to use the phrases “15-year old criminal” and “assaulted” to describe a child who flipped a shoe inches off the end of her foot is humiliation enough for you – I won’t subject you to anything further. I will say that it occurs to me that if this were a non-LEO committing this crime, you’d have something different to say.
Fortunately for all of us, it seems that he has been fired and somewhat ostracized. He’ll be tried again and hopefully convicted, albeit on a ridiculously slap-on-the-wrist charge.
Even so, maybe it will cause him to wake up and realize that there is no room in this world for his bullshit and that he needs to turn things around in order to be a worthwhile human being.
Paul – if you are out there and you have already so woken, what say you?

So where is the girl beater paul schene? Do we keep checking this same post for updates? Isn’t he going to be retried in federal court with civil rights abuse charges? Hopefully he is at least receiving help for his vicious anger problem. I’d hate to see him beat or kill another child or handicapped person while he is out of prison.

Justin, you should also check in to what happened to Malika Calhoun after this as well. I will go ahead and tell you, and you can look it up and verify it… She was arrested, yet again, charged AND convicted of Felony Harassment, for threatening to shoot another 15 year old girl at a King County mall. The girl IS a criminal, and deserves to get treated like one. Of course no major outlets are really following the story of her actually being a violent criminal, as where are the ratings boosts in that, right?

The George guy is obviously the Perpetrator himself, or another LEO who is trying to justify the unjustifiable. The person calling himself George makes a factual error when he says that the girl is a criminal, as she was merely being held on suspicion of committing a crime, but not convicted of it.
People are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but of course the gutless, and nutless maniacal child beater is grasping at any straws he can to persuade people that it was he who was the victim of the big bad little girl, and he had no choice in the matter but to defend himself in the proper police manner.
He is a coward, a liar, and a disgrace to the uniform. any LEO who defends that scumbag is rolling around in shit, and will get his stink all over them, so cut the freak loose, and let him go down. He is unfit to serve, and cannot be trusted to protect.

Being treated like a criminal is not the same as being treated in a criminal way.
Police are supposed to be better than that. In our society, everyone gets due process. On a more personal note, I’m totally tripped out by how much that guy over-reacted.. he’s clearly either sadistic, or emotionally unstable, to react THAT way, to what was clearly just a teenaged girl handing over her shoes in a rude way.

I am just glad that this country is starting to see the light when it comes to bottom-feeding officers who hide behind the trust that we as Americans are preconditioned to give law enforcement and abuse their authority to help feed their super-hero ego. Dont get me wrong, I believe that there is a lot of good officers out there that will do their job with honor. I just hate the fact that all some low life has to do is go to a community college for a couple months and attend an academy and like magic, he is a hero and he can do anything he wants and a large percentage of the population will defend his actions. Wake up people, Paul Schene is a piece of shit. Dont put him or those like him in the same category as a good cop just because he got a badge.

I’ve been in juvenile hall before and once you’re in a cell all they have to do is close the door. He seriously just had to close the door and be done with that girl. Her shoes were off, that’s that. He flew off the handle and attacked her. I’d love to get that officer one on one in the gym. I’d zombie him and bury some nuts in his face.

Excessive force is just one symptom of an escolating problem in Seattle.
My wife was told, (by her public pretender), to plead guilty to malicious mischieve because she picked up a crow bar and beat a mail box as a show of force. Why the show of force? Someone was trying to rape her. My wife and I have been together for 11 years, and she is as melodramatic as anyone I know.
Remember the handicap young man that was shot dead for carrying a samuri sword?

The problem we are having with youth is they feel disrespected, like in the Malica case. Both parents work to make ends meat. So, the feal a bit neglected.
When out and about, they are often stopped to see what they are up to. So, these youths feel harrassed. These youths tend to fight back. But, since they are not seen as adults or respected as adults they fight back with braun, not brains.
One problem with police is they no longer do “meet and greet”. Instead, they are too busy writing tickets to fill their coughers. A “meet and greet” is when cops go through the neighborhood and meet with people, just to show they care. This gives the community a sense of loyalty, and the cops a sense that not all people are bad. Since officers see every person as a scum bag what happes to their Psychy? Yes, their fight or flight senses are way up there.
To you Police in Seattle:
Stop disrespecting people and start getting to know people in your neighborhood. Take a vacation if you feel a bit overwhelmed when dealing with real scum bags and quit targeting youths. I don’t like the constant racial profiling in Seattle. That’s seen as nothing less than racism by your community and shows disrespect for certain races.
In other words, QUIT DISTANCING YOURSELVES.

I just came across that youtube video of the beating again so I was doing some more research into what ever came of that beating and the devil responsible, which led me to this page. I can’t get over George’s comment, I like how its posted at the top. Well George I think you missed a couple things in that video! Besides the blatantly obvious miss treatment. Paul actually walked back into the cell to check for blood from his “Distraction punches”. Not to sanitize as he did not carry the standard sanitary spray all jails have plenty of. Also just in case you weren’t paying attention. After she was cuffed and struck 2 more times in the head, he decided to let go of her hands and shoulders and completely pick her body up with her hair.
So George if you think your right. Your wrong.
As for the comment about the “meet and greet” and the effect it has on the mentality of officers and citizens. Your right.
