Although ostensibly created for police and military personnel, let’s hope these vests are widely distributed to those engaging in non-violent protest actions.
Make no mistake: More intrusive, efficient, and egregious tools of police-state utility will be invented. That is inevitable. We have essentially two defenses: 1) The weaker: the rule of law, combined with video surveillance of the enforcers, and 2) the stronger: real protective gear, like this device.
Both are worth pursuing, each by those respectively talented. Of course I regard myself as more effective in the former, but I’ll keep blogging about the latter as well.
let’s just hope this doesn’t lead to more intrusive anti-riot weapons
