Finally a TASER-happy cop who was rightfully terminated.

Remember this jackass cop? I didn’t realize he had been fired. Why hasn’t he been charged? Does anybody know his name?

Although these kind of cops are obviously not the norm, it’s obvious that this kind of use of the TASER is. While I have seen the very (very) occasional video of a proper and justified use of a TASER, all of the situations depicted in such videos were resolvable using conventional police weapons which are less lethal than the TASER. The overwhelming majority of uses of TASERs are for compliance, not protection.

Thus, I have started a facebook group calling for the complete ban of TASERs from police use.
