From spitting to stomping
We’ve all heard the accounts of Vietnam veterans being treated poorly upon return. While some of the worst of these accounts may have been embellished or even fabricated, it’s clear that the angst over the foolishness of that conflict was in some cases wrongly taken out on the soliders, marines, sailors, and airmen who fought in it.
But now, is anyone going to talk about the treatment that Iraq veterans are getting upon their return? A recent video of Sgt. Nick Morgan having his head stomped on by a horse-mounted riot cop is worthy of viewing by every American possessing the sense of sight.
I am at a loss. I don’t know what to say or think about these kinds of incidents.
